Job Description

 

  • Manage end-to-end audit cycle for multiple audit assignments, including outsourced auditors for complex audit projects
  • Lead the planning of assigned internal audit projects and design audit programs and tests to ascertain the state of internal controls and compliance with corporate policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide guidance to the audit team in reviewing key internal control procedures, risk and control matrices, including data analytics, to complete projects in a timely manner while maintaining audit quality
  • Ensure proper audit evidence is obtained and documentation is carried out in accordance with internal audit standards
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of business processes to identify key risk areas, gaps, weaknesses, and deficiencies in internal controls and compliance
  • Recommend business-focused solutions to mitigate risks, improve internal controls, and enhance governance processes and operational efficiency
  • Maintain proper documentation of findings and follow up closely with business units to ensure prompt resolutions of audit issues for reporting to the Audit Committee
  • Ensure concise and comprehensive audit reports are submitted for review
  • Conduct presentations to Management, the Audit Committee, and the Board of Directors

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, or professional CA qualification with CIA certification; CISA or CFE certification is an advantage
  • At least 6 years of experience in internal audit, preferably in the construction or engineering services industry, with exposure to Big 4 accounting firms
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., ACL, IDEA, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Self-driven individual who adapts to changing priorities and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Good interpersonal and collaborative skills with the ability to exercise objective judgment
  • Ability to influence and interact confidently, developing trusted relationships with key stakeholders, management, and multi-disciplinary staff
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with good report writing and presentation abilities
  • Strong problem-solving and logical thinking skills
  • Meticulous and resourceful with a high level of commitment and initiative
  • Passionate about leading by example with strong organizational and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player/leader while managing detailed technical work without losing sight of the big picture
