Job description

As the leader of our child care centre, you will oversee the daily operations and lead a team of early childhood professionals to nurture and develop our children in the centre. You will ensure the children’s well-being and safety in the centre, and also build a strong communication flow with the parents. You will guide your teachers and look out for opportunities to develop them so as to ensure that they grow in their personal lives and excel in their careers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise centre’s daily operations and administrative matters
  • Set up budgets and control budget expenditures
  • Work with HR and Account Teams to enforce policies and practises in the centre
  • Work closely with Early Childhood agencies/vendors to meet requirements
  • Provide leadership to the centre and drive the school to achieve set goals
  • Monitor and train teachers to ensure excellent delivery of curriculum
  • Good knowledge of curriculum and practise of curriculum evaluation and staff appraisal
  • Guide and coach teachers in the nurturing of children
  • Collect fee and manage disbursement of petty cash, equipment and supplies.
  • Determine requirements that must be met regarding licensing, health and safety regulations from the start and local regulatory agencies/vendors
  • Forge and maintain good relations with the parents
  • Plan and prepare monthly reports as required by the Board and Senior Management
  • Represent the school to the Board and Corporate Management
  • To coordinate centre events an organise projects
  • Able to perform under pressure and multi-task

Job Requirements

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education -Teaching & Leadership
  • Has at least 5 GCE ‘O’ level credits including English Language.
  • At least 3 years of teaching and management experience in a childcare/preschool
  • Certified by Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) as a Level 2 teacher
  • Hold a valid first-aid certificate recognised by ECDA
  • Display strong leadership skills and is able to manage a team of early childhood professionals
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work with various stakeholders, including parents and ECDA officers
