Account Executive (Asia Pacific)

Reporting directly to Head of Global Sales
Overview:  You will be responsible for targeting and developing new customers in Asia from the base in Singapore, as well as maintaining the existing customer base.  With your high competence and knowledge within shipping and navigation, you have a thorough understanding of the clients' needs and know how to present and sell solutions matching their needs. You are highly driven to increase sales and have excellent relationship building skills, and will be a key factor in making sure the company achieves success in Asian markets.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Responsibility for sales in Asia  with primary focus on Singapore
  • Plan and prepare sales visits using the available research resources
  • Make sales calls and organize customer meetings independently
  • Responsible for revenue streams and standing orders
  • Maintain and develop existing customer relationships in the region
Job Requirements:
  • Degree or above in relevant area
  • At least five years relevant working experience from ship chandlery, chart agent, or as an officer in the Merchant fleet
  • Strong ability to build relations and create trust
  • Ability to work in a structured and organized manner
  • Self-driven, actively targets oriented and independent
  • Ability to understand the customer’s need
  • Experience with solution sales is an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Fluency in or knowledge of Mandarin or Indian languages is an advantage
  • Skilled in working with CRM systems and MS Office
  • Preferably experience of working for an international company
  • Frequent travel will be required (50-60 days per year)
