Job description

  • Organises monthly small, medium and large-scale social events from conceptualization to execution.
  • Proposes and works within the approved budget.
  • Liaises with third party vendors e.g. speakers, workshop facilitators, events management companies etc. to meet the requirements of the events.
  • Liaises with internal departments on logistical requirements.
  • Performs marketing-related functions for each event so as to create awareness amongst members and increase participation.
  • Handles members’ enquiries and event registrations, manages database of participants at past events.
  • Ensures smooth execution of events through onsite management.
  • Consolidates feedback from members and guests of the event.
  • Prepares post-mortem reports for large-scale events.
  • Submits timely billing memos with accurate details to Finance Department so that proper billing is carried out after each event.
  • Takes minutes for monthly Social Sub-Committee meeting.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma in Hospitality or Events Management with least 2 years of relevant working experience
  • Good knowledge of basic event technical and logistical requirements
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Strong organisational and follow-up skills
  • Able to think on feet and resolve issues during an event
  • Enjoys interacting with people of all levels
  • Meticulous, independent, proactive and energetic
  • Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
