 Ibis Styles hotel is looking for a Indian cook with experience in Indian and Western cuisine. A minimum of 1- 2 years of experience in hotel industry.

  • Ability to propose menus
  • Manage food cost to the Budget
  • Strong Team Player
  • Has good experience with Western and Indian cuisine.
  • Great with customers and has the ability to promote the menu.
  • Good communication skills in written and verbally
  • Ability to handle large functions and Taylor make menus to suit
  • Work closely with Head Chef and Restaurant Manager with ongoing promotions
  • Prepares all raw cooking materials and other required products.
  • Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing them with utensils.
  • Portion, arrange, and garnish food, and serve food to waiters or patrons.
  • Estimate expected food consumption; then requisition or purchase supplies, or procure food from storage
  • Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices.
  • Prepares thorough mis-en-place as featured for the menu.
  • Prepares orders according to the recipe and ensures that portioning is correct.
  • Stores all raw food materials according to the standards.
  • Works closely with the Leading Cook & Chef De Partie.
  • Ensures that all hygiene standards are observed when preparing the food materials.
  • To follow and enforce all Hotel’s rules and regulations at all times.
  • Ensure that the department’s rules and regulations are observed at all times.
  • Maintain personal grooming and hygiene standards.
  • Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
  • Consult with Head Chef and Restaurant Manager to plan menus, taking into consideration factors such as costs and special event needs.
  • Plan and price menu items
  • Provides functional assistance and direction to the kitchen daily operations.
