Job description

To professionally and productively carry out duties assisting in designated areas as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

  • To ensure the hygienic and safe preparation of food in assigned food production areas.
  • To ensure a five star product is achieved at all times.
  • To demonstrate a proactive approach towards learning and development.
  • To be aware of food and beverage financial budgets and goals.
  • To ensure that all food items are prepared as per standard recipe cards whilst maintaining portion control and minimizing waste before and during food preparation.
  • To be able to work with minimum supervision.
  • To ensure that all kitchen equipment is used safely and correctly and is well maintained.
  • To promptly report any hazards or unsafe working conditions to a supervisor.
  • To ensure all relevant buffet / display set-ups are prepared ahead of guest’s arrival and in adherence with hotel standards.
  • Any other suitable task as and when assigned by Demi Chef / Chef De-Partie.
