Job Description


As an Associate Engineer (Voice), you will be responsible for the analysis, testing and installation of voice and radio communication systems. You will also be required to maintain system operations and perform facility management of Systems / Infrastructure according to established procedures and service levels.

The broad area of your job responsibilities will include:
  • Install or remove hardware, using supplied installation instructions and tools. Conduct tests and corrects malfunctions with help if required. Document results according to procedures. Assist with change requests evaluation. Support installation of problems and faults investigation
  • Report the details of all hardware items that have been installed and removed for configuration management records update. Assist to develop installation procedures and standards
  • Act to ensure that targets are met within established safety and quality procedures. Develop installation procedures and standards. Provide specialist guidance and advice to ensure best use of assets to maintain or improve the installation service
  • Carry out agreed process, operational or maintenance procedures. Contribute to maintenance, installation and problem resolution
  • Identify operational problems and contribute to their resolution
  • Provide technical expertise to enable the correct application of operational procedures. Contribute to the planning and implementation of tasks. Provide appropriate information to specialists, users and managers
  • Monitor, gather and report service level information to ensure compliance with service level agreements
  • Analyse service delivery records against agreed service levels on a regular basis to identify actions required to maintain or improve levels of service
  • Support investigation and resolve network problems. Apply with specified maintenance procedures. Carry out agreed network maintenance tasks
  • Use network management software and tools to investigate problems, collect performance statistics and create reports
  • Apply tools, techniques and processes for information (such as the tracking and logging of components and changes) of configuration items
  • Administer configuration items and related information. Protect assets and components from unauthorised change, diversion and inappropriate use
  • Use appropriate methods and tools in the development, maintenance, control and distribution of quality and environmental standards. Make technical changes to quality and environmental standards according to documented procedures. Distribute new and revised standards.
  • Create procedures and standards. Identify changes required to quality and/or environmental standards as a result of an audit or change to current practice and take responsibility to ensure implementation
  • Respond promptly to incident, investigate & provide temporary and/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties
  • Ensure the management of infrastructure or IT systems adhere to established practices and methodologies eg., ISO20000, ISO14000 where applicable
  • Provide on-job-training and guidance for associate engineer and technical specialist
  • Enforce and review security access authorization
  • NITEC / Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering/Infocomm Technology
  • Technically competent & conversant with good engineering practices & methodology
  • Able to work independently on assigned tasks in analysis & assessment of problems & provide solutions
  • Able to work & align in a multi-disciplinary team towards meeting project objectives
  • Possess class 3 driving license for manual car
  • Shift work of 8 or 12 hours will be required
  • Position will be on 1-year contract based onsite at client’s premises in East Singapore
