Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction for multi-functional food service areas (sandwich stand, salad bar, grill, hot foods, etc.) to ensure account retention.
  • Fulfills contractual obligations to the client.
  • Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining highest level of delivery.
  • Promotes and supports workplace diversity initiatives.

Duties:

  • Directs daily operations of multi-functional food service operations to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines.
  • Assists in the maintenance of cash controls and payroll functions (timesheets, records, schedules etc).
  • Probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexo resource when necessary.
  • Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards.
  • Manages by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate.
  • Ensures compliance with all local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. quality assurance, safety, operations, personnel).
  • Establishes a safe work environment for employees by providing safety-related training and equipment maintenance and by ensuring compliance with Sodexo safety and loss prevention programs and with standards.
  • Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to employees.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 to 8 years experience as a Chef in a five star Hotel.
  • To manage whole operations with the support of F&B Manager.
  • Hands on in kitchen operations.
  • Creative in menu planning for restaurant, bar and banquet menus.
  • Financial knowledge focused on cost control
  • Train and advise cooks in proper preparation and cooking methods.
  • Labour management, recruitment and training
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management both operational and financially. i.e. food quality, client relation and  keeping in line with the budget.
  • Ability to lead a team of 25
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with daily and senior client
