Job Description

  • Assess the food menus based on nutritional parameters of health guideline, generally UK based with a mix of Australian guidelines
  • Conduct regular audit at all sites to monitor price, product, promotion, people and places, and ensure strict compliance to the regulations
  • Implement new measures to improve the percentage of healthy items made available to the school community
  • Work closely with the Head Chef and other key members of production to understand, improve and evaluate the methods of cooking, selection of ingredients and combination of various components of the meals produced and served
  • Engage the parents community constantly on ways to ensure that healthy eating habits are inculcated among the students, especially the parents of infants school so as to improve their participation in this programme
  • Provide assistance to the students council and various grade heads on their outreach activities to disseminate healthy eating habits among the student community
  • Provide updates to the stakeholders via weekly and monthly meetings and progress reports on the initiatives and measures in place to constantly improve the healthy eating habits among the student community
  • Conduct periodic surveys on the food menus in all sites and propose appropriate action plans to improve the choices offered
  • Keep abreast on the international and local regulations (Health Promotion Board Singapore) to ensure strict compliance on the food menus offered
  • Collaborate with various site managers to ensure that the objectives of healthy eating in all sites are met

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma in Nutrition & Dietetics or equivalent
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and management
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Strong influencing skills to ensure commitment throughout the business to quality standards of nutrition and dietetics
  • Great team player
