Responsibilities: Plan and execute the most effective and efficient procedures of warehouse and logistics operations, to meet the company’s needs. Plan, monitor and control the warehouse department’s budgets and performance targets. Plan and make the best use of all resources available, including manpower, space, vehicles and time. Forecast company’s logistic needs in advance. Plan and make necessary preparations to meet these needs effectively. Responsible for the staff management of Warehouse, such as interviewing, training, disciplining and motivating the staff, as well as allocating manpower, planning work schedule and handling staff turnover. Observe and appraise fairly all subordinate staff’s performance, to help facilitate appropriate guidance to improve performance, rewards and career progression planning. Constantly seek out better ways of operations which may cut costs or increase productivity. Minimize risks of losses, damages and wastages. Work closely with other departments, to co-ordinate the schedules and details of container shipments, incoming goods, outgoing stock deliveries and other issues. Plan and oversee delivery routes and schedules. Assign staff to different areas of works as when necessary. Set the warehouse policies and procedures. Check and ensure that staff follows the company's policies, procedures and safety regulations. Be vigilant at all time, ensure the safety of self and all people around when working. Ensure the safety of the goods. Prevent losses, damages and mishandling. Know the warehouse layout, where goods are stored and the locations assigned. Work with Accounts department to prepare and conduct cycle counts (stock take), and investigate stock variances. Perform any other task to facilitate warehouse and company’s operations.
